Continuing Education
ICODA’s program in Continuing Education is designed to share, inform and empower the various professionals working with children with hearing loss by sharing the latest advancements in the field. ICODA has a history of working with partnerships and professional associates to enhance the quality and benefit of courses taught for University or Continuing Education credit for workshops and seminars. Past activities included four graduate level courses with practicum leading to a specialized certificate approved by Early Intervention to train Early Intervention Developmental Therapists to work with infants who are deaf with cochlear implants. Students included teachers of the deaf, audiologists, speech pathologists and social workers. The course was available for four years and trained over 40 therapists.
