ICODance

ICODA + dance is ICODance, one of the few dance companies in the nation to feature dancers who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing performing together.

Why We’re Different

Because many of our dancers cannot hear music, ICODance uses interpreted songs and dances to translate popular songs into Sign Language.

These interpretations are more than a series of movements executed by the body of a dancer – they are a blending of music, feelings, motion and language.  This unique method of expression is considered one of the most compelling elements of the program.

The Professional Company

ICODance produces one dance concert each year.  This program of interpreted song and original ICODance choreography includes ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop and tap set to music of yesterday and today.

Company members are chosen by audition only.
